CT Weather: Another Miserable Forecast
Connecticut just can't buy a break when it comes to weather in April and that continues.

There is good news and bad news with this forecast for Connecticut. The good news is that today is the worst of the weather for the week, and that concludes the good news portion of this post. Once the heavy rain and thunderstorms end later on Monday, we'll see below normal temps continue for the rest of the week and there will be more chances for rain too.
Maybe we're in for a good May as April showers will hopefully bring May flowers. As for Monday's weather, it will feature heavy rain, possibly thunderstorms, especially late morning and around noon. A total of 1-2 inches of additional rain is expected. There may be some flooding concerns too. Northern Connecticut got pelted with sleet and even some snowflakes Sunday night.
"Conditions will begin to improve from west to east by late afternoon into the evening as a cold front moves through," the National Weather Service says. "Despite highs in the mid 50s to near 60, strong northeast to easterly winds will make it feel as though temperatures are in the mid 40s to lower 50s. Winds may occasionally gust close to 40 mph, with the strongest winds expected along the coast. Winds will remain gusty even following the frontal passage."

Just a mess out there this morning. Slush coating the ground across much of the state, with heavy downpours on the way during the morning. Winds will pick up, gusting to 45 mph in some downpours. Ugly!
