The Hill-Stead Museum in Farmington on Sunday is hosting a celebration of shearing and the process of turning sheep wool into thread.
FARMINGTON, CT — A major museum in Farmington is celebrating the art of shearing and weaving fiber into fabric with a special extravaganza on Sunday.
The Hill-Stead Museum, 35 Mountain Road, Farmington, is hosting the "Art of Shearing" in conjunction with Clatter Ridge Farm in Farmington.
The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the art/history museum.

There, guests will be able to enjoy demonstrations and vendors showcasing "the beauty of all things fiber," wrote the museum in an announcement.
There will be free hayrides to and from the barns, food vendors, and craft activities.

Tickets are $20 a carload.
