Charity Sock Hop to Benefit Special Olympics Connecticut
The fifth, annual Dancing for a Dream Charity Sock Hop takes place Saturday, April 16 from 6-10 p.m.
Papa’s Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram will host its fifth, annual Dancing for a Dream Charity Sock Hop to benefit Special Olympics Connecticut on Saturday, April 16 from 6-10 p.m. The event will take place at Papa’s Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, located at 585 East Main St. in New Britain. Guests will enjoy dancing to favorite songs from past decades performed by the Sharades, and there will be food and prizes given away, including a prize for the best-dressed dancers. Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for children at least five years of age. This is an alcohol-free event. The Papa’s Dodge Sock Hop is one of many events being held to support Special Olympics leading up to The Dream Ride Experience, an elaborate, multi-day fundraiser presented by Bozzuto’s Inc., The Hometown Foundation and IGA Supermarket. The Dream Ride Experience is set to take place Friday, Aug. 26 through Sunday, Aug. 28 at the Farmington Polo Club in Farmington and will offer something for everyone, including a motorcycle ride, twilight car cruise hosted by Papa’s Dodge, judged car and motorcycle show, concert and Family Fun Zone with carnival rides and games.

Annually, The Dream Ride Experience unites thousands of friends, families and motorcycle and engine enthusiasts from multiple states and countries to enjoy the ride and a join in a festive celebration that honors Special Olympics athletes and helps to inspire respect, acceptance and inclusion for individuals with intellectual disabilities on and off the playing field.
