Farmington Activates Cooling Center
The Farmington Community & Senior Center (321 New Britain Ave., Unionville) will be available to residents as a cooling center.

FARMINGTON, CT — Town officials Monday announced the opening of cooling centers locally to combat the hot weather this week.
Effective at 2 p.m. on Monday, July 8, through 5 p.m. on Wednesday, July 10, Connecticut's extreme hot weather protocol will be activated.

"The purpose of this protocol is to ensure that the most vulnerable populations receive protection from the hot conditions," wrote the Town of Farmington in an announcement.
The Farmington Community & Senior Center (321 New Britain Ave., Unionville) will be available to residents as a cooling center from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m.
