Farmington Firefighters Pitching In During Weekend Food Drive
Firefighters will be at two Farmington supermarkets on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 21-22, to collect food for community services.

FARMINGTON, CT — Local firefighters this weekend will be doing much more than saving property and lives.
They'll be helping those in the local community suffering from food insecurity this holiday season as well — and residents are invited to lend them a helping hand.
Two Farmington fire companies will be at local stores this weekend setting up collection bins for their community holiday food drive to benefit Farmington Community & Recreational Services.

Members of the Farmington Volunteer Fire Department will be at Highland Park Market, 204 Main St. in Farmington.
Meanwhile, folks with the Tunxis Hose Company No. 1 will also be collecting food at the Stop & Shop supermarket located at 1799 Farmington Ave. in the Unionville section of town.

Both collection drives will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 21 and 22.
