According to team spokesman John Lahtinen, the team won the title on Saturday, Nov. 5, with a 1-0 win over North Haven at Tunxis Mead in Farmington.
"The win continues an incredible run for the team which includes two-straight undefeated seasons (26-0-1 since last loss) and wins in three of the past four state championships," wrote Lahtinen.

This championship, however, could be a harbinger of bigger and better things.
According to Lahtinen, with the cup title, Farmington advances to regional play at the U.S. Youth Soccer (USYS) Eastern Presidents Cup, which will be hosted next June in Valley Forge, Pa.
Regional winners then move onto the USYS National Presidents Cup the following month in Wichita, Kansas.
