Farmington Celebrates Successful Giving Campaign This Holiday Season
Farmington's social and supportive services department this week thanked a long list of donors and volunteers who helped.

FARMINGTON, CT — The town's community/supportive services department this week gave major kudos to those who helped during its recent holiday giving program.
According to the Farmington Community & Supportive Services Department, the department, fueled by a massive list of volunteers and donors, was able to put together and distribute 140 holiday meal baskets for local families, along with some gifts for children.
Those efforts culminated over the weekend, when they were distributed to smaller families, with additional baskets distributed to larger families.

Monday, the town said thanks to myriad volunteers and donors, posting an honor roll of sorts celebrating their benevolence.
"Thank you to all our donors for our holiday giving program. Today we received donations for our larger families - including food for a holiday meal along with gifts for children/teens," wrote the department.

The department posted images of the effort on its social media page, along with a long "shout-out" list to those who helped.
