Farmington Library's Halloween Scavenger Hunt Officially Begins

The nearly month-long event at the Barney Library started Tuesday, Oct. 1, and continues to Saturday, Oct. 26.

FARMINGTON, CT — It's that time of year again as guests are invited to stop by the Barney Library to pick up the second annual "Halloween Scavenger Hunt" directions.

Folks can participate as an individual or as a team, take photos of the people, places and things in the list and submit them to the Barney Library via email to barney@farmingtonlibraries.org with the subject "Library Scavenger Hunt."

The Barney Library branch is located at 71 Main St. and is one of two sites in Farmington under the Farmington Libraries system.

Here's how the scavenger hunt works:

• Each item on the list is worth 1 point.

• If you're able to complete the hunt by photographing each item on the list, you will receive an additional 5 bonus points.

• Submissions must be made to barney@farmingtonlibraries.org by 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26, to be counted.

• Top three point earners will determined and contacted on Monday, October 28 to pick up their prize. If there is a tie the participate(s) with the earliest entry will be selected.
