FARMINGTON, CT — Though it has a new route this year, Farmington's annual Memorial Day parade will return next Monday.

At 9:30 a.m. on May 30, the parade will form on Perry Street (near Union School), then will step off at 10 a.m. It will continue onto Farmington Avenue and will end at the Veterans Memorial, in front of Town Hall.

Because of sidewalk construction on Main Street and construction on the Unionville Bridge, the typical parade routes aren't accessible, town officials said.

Directly after the parade, a Memorial Day ceremony will take place at the Farmington Town Hall Veteran's Monument.

Public parking will be available at Union School, Farmington High School, Farmington Library, and at Yodkins-Morin Memorial Park. Commercial parking lots in the area will also be available.
