FARMINGTON, CT — Local police said they have a male dog that was found recently on Farmington Avenue in town.

In a social media post on Wednesday afternoon, the Farmington Police Department said the dog is a "Doodle" breed, which is a mixed breed (with one side being part poodle).

Police said the dog was found on Farmington Avenue near Walnut Streetand it is looking for its owner.

The ongoing cold snap makes it dangerous for any pets to be left outside for long periods.
