Farmington Softball Player Delawder Commits to CCSU

Jessica Delawder is a senior at Farmington High School.

A Farmington High School senior recently signed her letter intent to Central Connecticut State University.

Jessica Delawder is a softball player, who recently moved to Farmington from Arizona. There, she played for Arizona Storm Gold, a club team ranked fifth in the nation, according to her family.

Now she plays shortstop for the Ohio Hawks Gold. During her first summer in the state, she played in an under-23 league for the Stratford Diamonds, her family said.

Academically, she has been an Honor Roll student for three years.

"Jessica looks forward to the next four years at CCSU and is excited about the coaches goals and playing softball at the next level," her father, Roger Delawder said. "Jessica aspires to become a pediatrician and someday have a farm with animals, so less fortunate children or children with disabilities can come and enjoy time staying in cabins located on her farm."
