Hazardous Weather Outlook Issued for Farmington

The National Weather Service says there are two chances for snow next week, and we'll let you know the latest details.

The National Weather Service on Saturday afternoon issued a “Hazardous Weather Outlook” for Hartford and Tolland counties for a couple of potential accumulating snow chances next week.

Here is the full statement from the National Weather Service:

“One or two periods of accumulating snow are likely Monday and Tuesday...with leftover snow showers Wednesday. However, uncertainty remains high whether we will be dealing with nuisance light snow or a significant winter storm at this time.”

On the immediate positive news side, the forecast for Super Bowl Sunday is fantastic, as we’re expecting sunny skies and temps into the low to mid 40s.

As of now the National Weather Service is predicting snow on Monday with an inch of accumulation possible.

Then there is a 50 percent chance of snow on Monday night, Tuesday, Tuesday night, and a slight chance of snow showers on Wednesday.

No other snowfall accumulation predictions have been made as of yet.

We’ll continue to update this forecast.
