The Heat Is Back: Farmington Implementing Hot Weather Protocols
Another heat wave is hitting the area this week, with hot weather protocols enacted through Wednesday, July 17.

FARMINGTON, CT — Like many towns, Farmington this week is implementing its hot-weather protocols to ensure all who need shelter from the intense heat and humidity can get it.

The protocols were enacted at noon Sunday and will continue through 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 17, coinciding with the state's hot-weather protocol activation.
"The purpose of this protocol is to ensure that the most vulnerable populations receive protection from the hot conditions," wrote the Town of Farmington.

The Farmington Community & Senior Center (321 New Britain Ave., Unionville) will be available to residents as a cooling center from 9 am until 9 p.m.
