The position has been filled with a current teacher at the school.

Farmington resident Sibani Sengupta has been named the new dean of academic affairs at Sacred Heart Academy.
Sengupta, who received her Ph.D. in molecular biology and biochemistry from the University of Connecticut, joined the Sacred Heart faculty in 2003. She has received multiple awards during her time as an educator, including being named the 2014-15 Connecticut Association of Schools High School Level Exemplary Educator of the Year.
Originally pursuing a career as a research scientist, Sengupta left to teach high school students and served as the chair of the school’s science department for six years. She will continue to teach science courses in addition to her new role.
