Police Anticipate More Arrests in McLellan Tree Service Burglary

A Bridgeport man who broke into McLellan Tree Service in Farmington and stole equipment is facing burglary and larceny charges, police said.
Manuel Gomez, 38, of 57 Ives Ct., Bridgeport, stole "chainsaws, pole saws, blowers," a company vehicle and equipment from the 145 Brickyard Rd. business, according to police.
Farmington police detectives tracked his vehicle to an address in Bridgeport and obtained a warrant to search his home, police said. There, they recovered the stolen items.
Gomez was charged with three counts of third-degree burglary, three counts of third-degree burglary, two counts of second-degree criminal mischief and first-degree larceny on Sept. 11, 2013 at 5:12 p.m.
He was issued a $50,000 surety bond and was scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 12.
Farmington police said they expect more arrests in the case.
