Republican Candidates to Be Selected Wednesday
The caucus will take place at 7:30 p.m. in the Jeff Yates room at the police station in Farmington.

The Republican party will gather on Wednesday to select who will run in the upcoming election, reports the Hartford Courant.
The caucus will take place at 7:30 p.m. in the Jeff Yates room at the police station.
In addition to choosing a candidate for council chairman, the committee will select two other candidates for the council from each of the two local voting districts.

Four seats on the board of education are also up for election and three candidates from each party may run. The party will also choose a candidate to fill a seat for a two-year term.

There are also openings for the planning and zoning commission, planning and zoning commission alternates, board of assessment appeals, zoning board of appeals, zoning board of appeals alternates, and constables.
