Storm Central: Winter Storm Warning in Effect

The Farmington Board of Education meeting Tuesday night has been canceled due to the weather.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning, wind chill advisory and hazardous weather outlook for Hartford County.

Farmington schools closed early on Tuesday due to the weather. 

The storm warning is in effect until 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 22 and the wind chill advisory lasts until 10 a.m. on Wednesday. 

The weather service anticipates as much as 5 to 10 inches of heavy snow and temperatures could drop as much as 16 degrees below.
