Town Looks to Relocate New England Trail Away from 50 Cent's Farmington Property

One site you will see aside from nature if you walk along the Poplar Hill Drive portion of a New England trail is the mansion of Curtis Jackson III, better known in the pop culture world as 50 Cent.

Trail manager Jon Schoenhorn, of Farmington, and town officials are hoping to relocate the trail through a more wooded area.

The trail, called the New England National Scenic Trail, is the former Metacomet Trail.

Farmington is considering purchasing about 15.4 acres of 70 Mountain Road. Officials say that will connect existing town open space to the Hill-Stead Museum and allow them to relocate the trail.
