1 Dead After Fire At Glastonbury Home: Officials

A police officer on patrol was passing the residence early Sunday morning and encountered the fire, authorities said.

GLASTONBURY, CT — A person died in connection with an overnight fire at a home in Glastonbury, according to officials.

A police officer on patrol was passing the residence in the 300 block of Neipsic Road shortly after 2 a.m. Sunday and encountered the fire, authorities said.

It took about 35 firefighters an hour to bring the blaze under control, according to the Glastonbury Fire Department, which reported an occupant of the home was found inside and succumbed to their injuries.
