Man Stabbed At Municipal Building In Glastonbury: Police

The suspect was not in custody Sunday but police believed the incident was isolated, according to authorities.

GLASTONBURY, CT — A man was stabbed Sunday morning at a municipal building in Glastonbury, according to police.

Officers responded around 11:30 a.m. to The Academy, a building in the 2100 block of Main Street that houses several of the town’s services and facilities, after receiving a report about a disturbance, police said. They found the victim and took him to the hospital, according to police.

“The suspect is not in custody at this time,” police said. “Police believe this is an isolated incident and there is no on-going danger to the public.”

In a Sunday night update, police said they arrested Marcus McDaniel, 52, and that an arrest warrant was obtained on charges including criminal attempt murder, first-degree assault, breach of peace, and risk of injury to a minor. McDaniel turned himself in and is currently held on $1 million bond.
