Popular Glastonbury Police Officer Set To Retire
A respected police officer is retiring after a three-decade career.

GLASTONBURY, CT — Officer Kenneth Lee is set to retire from the Glastonbury Police Department on Friday.
He wore badge 352.
Lee began his law enforcement career with the New York City Police Department in 1994. During his time at the NYPD, Lee worked as a patrol officer at the 103rd Precinct, in South Jamaica Queens, and later transferred to the precinct's Community Policing Unit before leaving the NYPD for the Glastonbury Police Department in February 2001.

During his tenure with GPD, Lee worked several in several different assignments in the Patrol Division and Youth Unit.
"Officer Lee's devotion to the community was always visible and he often stopped to talk with local business owners during shift," police officials said.

Lee enjoyed his role as a school resource officer at Smith Middle School and Naubuc Elementary School and often commented the most rewarding part of his career was working with the kids and staff within the Glastonbury Public School system.
Lee was a member of the GPD peer support program, where he offered support to fellow officers during difficult times and critical incidents.
Lee and his wife, Karen, have been married for 24 years and have two children — Gretchen and Caden.
Lee comes from a law enforcement family. His Uncles Philip Lee and Joseph Lee served in the NYPD.
