GLASTONBURY, CT — Howard the cat wants to be home for Christmas.

Glastonbury Animal Control is seeking a forever home for the former stray that “We would selfishly like to keep Howard because we absolutely love him, but he’s ready to move on and share his unique self with a family.”

According to a post via Glastonbury Police on Facebook, Animal Control said, “Howard came to us as a sick kitten, found wandering on a walking path in the woods. We thought “let’s save this cute kitty”, but in reality Howard has saved us. From a life of the mundane, day to day existence. When looking at life through Howard’s eyes every space has potential, and if he can fit his body in it, it’s a place to explore. And hide. And jump out of to mock attack. Howard makes his own fun with whatever is at hand and nothing is sacred!”

He’s described as “a perfect mixture of aloof and loving, and if he’s in your lap he’ll purr … and keep rubbing up against you like he can’t get enough.”

Howard plays well with cat savvy smaller dogs and is about six months old.
