Useful things to know for Granby and East Granby residents, including information on Connecticut's tax-free week.

As the new school year draws near, The Granbys Patch is looking for players, coaches, parents and fans to share information and updates about their sports teams on the site.

Do you take photos of, keep score for or even write game reports about a team of Bears or Crusaders you care about? Sharing them with Patch will help your work reach a wider audience and keep the community informed about the local sports scene. The Granbys Patch will feature team records, standings and game stories as the fall season begins, but we want you to share your creations and contributions as well.

If you're interested, send me an email (perry.robbin@patch.com) and we can find the easiest and most effective way for you to add onto our sports coverage.
