Farmington Valley YMCA Twisters Bring Home Gold
Team and individual awards abounded as the Twisters, who draw many of their members from Granby and East Granby, competed in a regional competition in New York.

The Level 5 Twisters gymnastics team brought home the team trophy after participating in a regional competition in Glenn Falls, New York in May.
In the Level Five age division (11 years old to 11 and a half years old) Cailin Hesketh, with an all around score of 36.35 that earned second place, and Amy Briggs, with an all around score of 36.25 that earned third place, won individual awards.
In the next age division, Cara Ferro brought home second place with an all around score of 36.7. Within the same level, Abby Larson and Julia Moody also brought home individual awards for their performances.

Coming in first place in the Level Four girls (10 years old to 11 years old) age division was Evelyn Neagoy. Dasha Sapronova and Kate Beaudry also placed within their age division.
Level 3 girls Eva Pokaski and Erin Moody placed fifth and seventh respectively in the 10 years old to 18 years old open division.

Some of these girls will go on to compete at Nationals, which are being held from June 29 to July 3 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
