Glastonbury, Simsbury, Granby Top Area Seeds For Field Hockey Tourneys
The CIAC released brackets for its three field hockey tournaments Tuesday, with 13 schools from Hartford and Tolland counties qualifying.

CONNECTICUT — Thirteen high school field hockey teams from Hartford and Tolland counties will be among those competing for three state championships, as the CIAC released its tournament pairings Tuesday.
Among the area schools, Glastonbury (Class L), Simsbury (M) and Granby (S) are each seeded sixth. Defending champions Staples, Daniel Hand and North Branford have all qualified for the chance to repeat their success from last year, though Daniel Hand has moved from Class M to S.
Qualifying games will be played Nov. 1 and 4, with first-round action being contested between Nov. 4 and 6. The finals are slated for Saturday, Nov. 16 at Wethersfield High School.
