Granby Budget Hearing Takes Place at High School Monday Night
Revised budget figures now online.

Tonight Granby residents will have the chance to weigh in on the town's revised 2013-2014 budget.
After the town's original proposal was recently defeated at referendum, the Board of Finance proposed trimming $330,000 from the plan, bringing it down to $41,622,968.
Before the public hearing tonight, selectmen will meet to discuss where to trim the $80,000 they would have to eliminate under the current proposal. They will meet a 6 p.m., with the hearing to follow at 7 p.m. in the Granby Memorial High School Auditorium, 315 Salmon Brook St.
Last week, school officials recommended to the Board of Education where it could find the $250,000 in savings if the new proposal takes effect.
At 8 p.m. or following the hearing, the Board of Finance will meet and could take further action on the revised budget before sending it to voters at the May 6 referendum, which will be held from noon to 8 p.m. at Town Hall.
