Granby Center Was the Perfect Place for This

Granby's earliest settlers had the same idea about the town center.

Three major state roads cross right in Granby Center with travelers heading north into Massachussetts, south into the Farmington Valley, and east towards Bradley International Airport. This feature has always made the town's center an ideal location to post community announcements. The town's earliest settlers had the same vision for the center.

Not only are the crossroads of Granby a perfect location for advertising local events and information, but the green in Granby's center may have once been the location of the Salmon Brook settlement meeting house.

According to Pat Chieski, executive secretary for the town, anyone can use the space along Salmon Brook Street to advertise events and information as long as they register with the town.
