UPDATE: Suspect in Building Material Theft Identified
Readers of The Granbys Patch can help the police department by seeing if they recognize the man or the vehicle depicted in two surveillance photos taken at the scene.
Update: Granby police say they have identified the man in the picture and a warrant will be issued.
Original Story: are searching for a man suspected of stealing thousands of dollars worth of building materials from a business renovation site on Salmon Brook Street (Route 10) in early July.
The incident took place shortly before 9 a.m. on July 7. The theft specifically involved the removal of 24 boxes of flooring tiles, valued at more than $2,000, from the site.

Granby police hope that two particularly clear still images extracted from surveillance cameras in the area will lead to positive identification of the suspect. The images show both the suspect and the vehicle he operated at the site of the theft.
“…The pictures obtained from surveillance video in the area were just too good to pass up,” said Granby Police Department Captain William Tyler in a press release.

The suspect is a white male of average height and build with short, dark brown or black hair. The photos show no visible identifying marks, although the suspect is wearing a green t-shirt with a small graphic or line of text on the chest.
The car used by the suspect at the site of the theft is also identifiable, a grey Ford Ranger pickup truck. The truck's license plate is not visible in the photos.
