[Updated] Granby Police Still Seeking Driver Who Injured Two Cyclists

Officers identify cyclists, say injuries are not life threatening

Granby police are still seeking the driver who injured two cyclists on Day Street south of Creamery Hill Road around noon on Sunday. 

Fredrika Ballard, 42, Joanne Nelson, 51, both of Southwick MA, were transported by ambulance to Baystate Medical Center, Capt. William Tyler said.

Ballard was treated and released and Nelson was admitted with non-life threatening injuries, he added. 

The two were riding Northbound when hit by a vehicle traveling in the same direction, police said. Granby Police and EMS responded. 

Police are seeking the the driver of an older dark green SUV in poor condition; possibly a Chevrolet Blazer. There was reportedly an external spare tire mounted to the rear of the vehicle with a tan tire cover. A front passenger in the suspect vehicle is described as a heavyset white female with blonde hair.
