For most Granby residents it's the start of another holiday season, but more importantly for a number of Granby's teenage residents it's the start of basketball season. The Granby varsity boys basketball team played five quarters scrimmaging against Litchfield on Saturday morning.  The boys team has two more scheduled scrimmages. The first against Wamogo, an away game, on Tuesday.  The second srimmage is at Granby High School against Northwestern on Thursday at 5 p.m. The first official game of the season for the boys will be an away game at Bacon Academy on Wednesday Decemeber 15, at 7 p.m. The Granby Varsity Girls scrimmaged against Bellows Falls Union, Vermont on Saturday afternoon.  The first game of the season for the girls will be an away game at Wilcox Tech on Wednesday December 8, at 6 p.m.   The next home game for the varsity girls will be Friday December 10, at 7 p.m. against East Windsor.
