Halloween Candy in August? The Apocalypse is Nigh, Granby Library Sked
Here are five things going on in the area today.

Good morning, Granby and East Granby! Today is Thursday, Aug. 8, 2013; there are 145 days left in the year.
First, allow me to say that I love Stop & Shop. I go to the one in Unionville all the time, sometimes twice a day (newborn babies will make you do that).
But man, the store just committed the worst of the worst faux passsesesesesess (I failed French in high school).

Check out that photo. You see what I see? Yes, candy is delicious. And, yes, Halloween candy is THE most delicious of all the candies (The reason is simple: Halloween is a holiday that calls for the consumption of candy for candy’s sake. Christmas, Easter and Valentine’s Day have their own motivations beyond the sake of pure candy)
Anyhoo, by putting out the fall candy in early August, Stop & Shop may be responsible for causing the rift in the time space continuum that enabled the monsters from Pacific Rim to enter our dimension.
