Nearly one year after the announcement of a new Homegoods store in Simsbury, the company plans to hold a grand opening for the new location this weekend. Homegoods, a <a href="http://www.tjx.com/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">TJX company</a>, will open its new 23,500-square-foot store in the former Borders Books &amp; Music location at the Simsbury Commons shopping center on Sunday, March 3. The store will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., according to company officials. The company <a href="https://patch.com/A-y7pJ" rel="nofollow">announced its plans for the Simsbury store in April</a> after it signed a lease agreement with Charter Realty and Development. The retail home fashion store currently operates 11 stores in Connecticut.
