Missing Beagle Spotted in Granby Center

Volunteers are searching for a missing Beagle that was seen near the Granby Municipal Complex on Thursday.

A Simsbury family that has been searching for a missing dog since September 11 received notice that the dog was seen recently in Granby center.

Jilly, an adopted Beagle, has been roaming around Simsbury and Granby for nearly four months and was seen wandering near the Granby Municipal Complex on Thursday morning, according to Rebecca Strempfer, mother of the missing dog's owner.

Strempfer said volunteers are currently out looking for Jilly.

A second Beagle recently went missing from its home on Talcott Mountain Road in Simsbury. Copper, a 10-year-old Beagle mix has been missing since Sunday.

If you see a Beagle roaming in either Granby or Simsbury contact animal control at 860-658-3110 (Simsbury) and 860-844-5335 (Granby).
