Town Officials, employees and Holcomb Farm representatives gathered on Wednesday to commemorate the new patio behind the workshop at Holcomb Farm.
The patio was constructed within budget - less than $7,000, which came from donations to the Friends of Holcomb Farm, according to Jim Lofink.
Volunteers in 95 degree weather laid the 200 bluestones comprising the patio, and town employees from the department of public works built the wall.
Lofink said that the patio will add a new dimension to the community aspect of the farm, as the workshop is the highest-utilized building on the property.
First Selectman John Adams credited the project as an example of the evolution taking place at Holcomb Farm between the town and Holcomb Farm Inc.
A plaque recognized the following individuals for their work on the project:
Town of Granby
John E. Adams
William F. Smith
