Planning and Zoning, Celebrate 225, And Basketball

Tuesday Feb. 8, 2011

Today is Tuesday Feb. 8, 2011 and there are 326 days left in the year.  Temperatures have dropped again and we'll see a high of 32 degrees today.  A light snow overnight left up to an inch of new snow on the ground in areas this morning.  School has been delayed for 90 minutes in Granby and East Granby.

The Granby Planning and Zoning Commission will meet tonight to consider the application for the use of a property at 59 Meadow Brook Rd. for the non-profit organization Bandit's Place.   The public hearing for this application was closed on Jan. 25.  The meeting begins at 7 p.m. at the Town Hall Meeting Room.

The Celebrate 225 Committee will meet in Granby tonight at the Senior Center and Youth Services building from 7 p.m. until 8 p.m.  For those unfamiliar with Celebrate 225, Granby is celebrating its 225th birthday this year and there will be a parade and other festivities to commemorate the occasion.  The committee meets each month to develop plans for the event.
