Snow, Selectmen And Board Of Education

Today is Monday Feb. 7, 2011 and there are 327 days left in the year.  Hopefully you took advantage of yesterday's warmer temperatures and sunshine.  Today will be mostly cloudy with an increasing chance of snow this afternoon.  Temperatures will reach a high of 37 degrees during the day but will dip to a high of 30 degrees overnight.

The Granby Board of Selectman will get an update on the overall impact of the snow and ice this winter on local buildings by building official William Volovski.  Also on the agenda will be a presentation by John Latella on the Community Emergency Response Team.  Other items on the agenda are vacancies on the Conservation Commission and the Granby Library Board.  Celebrate 225 banners could soon be seen around town, the board will vote tonight.  The meeting starts at 7:30 p.m. at the Town Hall Meeting Room.

The East Granby Board of Education will also meet tonight.  Superintendent Christine Mahoney will update the board on snow days for the 2010-11 school year.  The board will also discuss upcoming school renovations and construction. The meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. in the board conference room at Allgrove School.
