Start 2026 Outdoors With New Year’s Day Hike In Granby

The hike is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, January 1.

GRANBY, CT — The Granby Land Trust is inviting the community to start the new year outdoors with a guided New Year’s Day hike at the Mary Edwards Mountain Property.

The hike will be led by Land Trust member Fran Armentano, who is marking her 18th year leading the popular New Year’s tradition. The roughly three-mile hike features variable terrain, and participants are encouraged to dress warmly for winter conditions.

The group will meet at the Mountain Road entrance just north of Silkey Road at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, January 1.
