Granby Police Sergeant Retires After More Than 33 Years of Service
Sergeant Doreen Mikan served the department from 1992 through the end of 2025, officials said.
GRANBY, CT — The Granby Police Department announced the retirement of Doreen Mikan, marking the end of a career that spanned more than 33 years of service to the town.
Sergeant Mikan began her career on August 2, 1992, and retired on December 30, 2025, for a total of 12,203 days in uniform, according to the department.

During her career, Mikan served in several key roles. She was a member of the Regional Dive Team and was actively involved in the DARE program, working with young people and families throughout the community.
Police officials said her professionalism, compassion, and commitment left a lasting impact on both the department and the Town of Granby.
