Visions For Vacancies: East Granby

EAST GRANBY, CT — After a period of dormancy, today Granby-East Granby Patch revives the popular Visions For Vacancies column, in which we highlight a vacant commercial property and ask readers to tell us what they think would be the best use for it.

Forget what zone it's in, ignore setback regulations, dump lot coverage rules and all the other zoning jargon that puts most people to sleep. If you had your way, what would you like to see there? What would be the best use for the community?

Today we are featuring rental space in the East Granby Center Shops on Route 20, between TJ's Burritos and Affordable Framing. Most recently, the site was home to the Long Stem Flower Shoppe, but a sign in the window indicates the floral business has moved to Bloomfield.
