Welcome to The Granbys Patch! It's been quite the journey but we are officially launching the first daily publication completely devoted to Granby and East Granby.
When I say publication I am not referring to the traditional format in the industry -- we are completely online with no print edition. The Granbys Patch will feature a constantly updated news feed, an events calendar and announcements, and will allow users to comment on stories and photos.
It should be no surprise that the type of news coverage you will see in Granby and East Granby will differ from what you see in a city like West Hartford. The Granbys Patch will, of course, cover local government, sports, and events. Our primary focus will be to document everyday life here in the Granbys.

I was born and raised right next door in Simsbury. I graduated from Ohio University in 2000 and went straight to work at the Monroe Evening News in Monroe, MI. I spent the last 10 years working as a staff photojournalist and freelance photojournalist for newspapers and publications around the country.
My team of contributors and I will do our best to report the news and events here in the Granbys as truthfully and accurately as possible. We welcome your participation in all aspects of the Web site and I certainly welcome and tips on news and letters to the editor.
