What Will Granby Snow Days Mean for April Vacation?

That all depends on the outcome of the school board's scheduled vote on the school calendar.

The Granby Public Schools Board of Education is scheduled to vote April 3 on how to make up its seven snow days.

It is not clear at this time what that will mean for April Vacation, currently April 15 to 19.

Excluding any possible make up days, the last day of school is June 20.

Granby builds five make-up days into its school calendar in the event of snow days, so district needs to find days make up two school cancellations. The make-up days could come from a combination of April vacation days, a professional development day in May or an extra day at the end of the year, school officials said.

The board is expected to make a decision at the meeting, which starts at 7 p.m. in the Central Services building at 15-B North Granby Rd.
