East Granby Public Schools have had six snow days this year, pushing the last day of school to June 27. Four of the snow days are being tacked onto the end of the school year, not affecting school vacations, according to school officials. Since East Granby includes 182 days in its school calendar every year in the event of unanticipated cancellations – two days more than the state requires – the two other snow days are automatically worked into regular calendar. When asked what would happen if East Granby didn't have any snow days in a given year, school officials said the students would still go to school on those two extra days.
