Black Friday Deals for 2015 -- Who Has the Best?

WalletHub analyzed major retail chains and Black Friday deals; many, they say, are repeats. Who has the most unique deals?

Black Friday shoppers are a force. Shrewd and informed, these consumers look not only for the best deals, but fresh deals.

WalletHub, a personal finance website, released its 2015 Black Friday Freshness Report on Monday, analyzed and compared America’s favorite retailers based on the proportion of deals they repeated this year and the difference in prices for those offers from Black Friday 2014.

Overall, WalletHub found that in 2015 11 percent of all deals are recycled. Among the retailers, Big Lots has the most repeated deals, totaling 16.4 percent of its current offers. Staples has the least, at 5.1 percent.

“With all the hype around Black Friday, consumers expect retailers to wow them with new and better deals when the event rolls around again,” said WalletHub. “On the most recent holiday shopping survey from BestBlackFriday.com, 81 percent of respondents said that ‘Black Friday deals are not improving from previous years.’”

1. Big Lots, 16.4 percent

2. Costco, 16.3 percent

3. Best Buy, 14.6 percent

4. Ace Hardware, 14.5 percent

5. CVS Pharmacy, 13.3 percent

6. Macy’s,12.2 percent

7. Sears, 11.4 percent

8. hhgregg, 11.2 percent

9. Office Depot and OfficeMax, 11.1 percent

10. Meijer, 10.3 percent

11. Amazon, 10.2 percent

12. Kohl’s, 9.4 percent

13. Target, 9.4 percent

14. Wal-Mart, 7.9 percent

15. JCPenney, 5.3 percent

16. Staples, 5.1 percent
