Car Burglary Suspects' Photos Released by Greenwich PD

The two men are suspected of breaking into cars parked in central Greenwich over the weekend.

Greenwich Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying the men caught on video apparently breaking into at least four cars parked at the Greenwich Boys & Girls Club over the weekend.

One suspect reportedly was wearing a black jacket and dark pants. The other was wearing a blue zipper hoodie and sweatpants. Both were described as black men occupying a newer blue or black Jeep Grand Cherokee with orange colored New York State license plates, according to police.

The thefts occurred in the Boys & Girls Club Horseneck Lane parking lot and at the Bruce Park playground on Museum Drive about 1 p.m. Sunday.

In all instances, purses or bags containing wallets, cash and credit cards were stolen after car windows were broken, according to Lt. Kraig Gray.

Gray also used the incidents as an opportunity to warn shoppers to be more vigilant as the holiday shopping season approaches.

“Do n to store your recently purchased items in your car. Store them in the truck and lock your vehicle,” Gray advised. “And do not leave your spare key in your car.”
