Ex-Worker Accused of Breaking into Cos Cob Animal Hospital

The owner of the veterinary hospital found the suspect inside the building late Friday night.

When the owner of the Blue Cross Veterinary Hospital went to check on his business late Friday, he found more than pets inside the 530 E. Putnam Ave. facility.

“The owner found a former employee who didn’t have permission to be there,” said Greenwich Police spokesman Lt. Kraig Gray. The owner reported the burglary to police at 11:25 p.m. Jan. 15.

The suspect, who apparently “was in the process of stealing items, appeared to be severely inebriated on some form of intoxicant,” Gray said.
