New Greenwich Police Officers Graduate From State Training Academy
Both officers will now begin their field training program at Greenwich Police Headquarters.
GREENWICH, CT — The Greenwich Police Department announced this week that officers Kailey Ego and Rosana DiMaggio-Carolino have graduated from the 387th Session of the Connecticut Police Academy.
Ego earned the TFC Allan J. Truskowski Award, presented to the recruit with the highest overall performance across police training, firearms, patrol driving, and physical fitness, the GPD said.
The award is named after Trooper First Class Allan J. Truskowski, a dedicated CT State Police veteran and academy instructor.

Both officers will now begin their field training program at GPD headquarters.
Ego and DiMaggio-Carolino joined the department this past summer.

DiMaggio-Carolino has degrees in sociology and women's studies and is a past graduate of the GPD Citizens Police Academy.
"She brings a strong background in community engagement and has been recognized for her leadership and contributions to diversity and inclusion," police said following her swearing in.
Ego earned a degree in criminal justice with a concentration in police science, along with a certificate in victim service administration, according to the GPD.
She previously served as an intern with the Norwich Police Department and a cadet with the Connecticut State Police.
"She has also been recognized for academic and athletic excellence," the GPD said.
Aside from announcing the recent graduations, the department noted it is hiring.
