Greenwich GOP Elects New Chairman
Stephen Walko will lead town Republicans for the next two years.

GREENWICH, CT - Stephen Walko, a former chairman of the Board of Estimate and Taxation and state representative, was elected chairman of the Greenwich Republican Town Committee.
Walko, who is chairman of New Lebanon School Building Committee, was elected Wednesday night at Greenwich Town Hall with 34 votes compared to 22 votes received by Randall Smith, according to Greenwich Time.
Walko, a lawyer with Greenwich law firm of Ivey, Barnum & O'Mara succeeds Jim Campbell who announced in early January that he would not seek a fourth two-year term as chairman.

Greenwich Republicans aren't the only ones with a change in leadership.
Greenwich Democratic Town Committee Chairman Frank Farricker announced in December that he would not seek a fourth two-year term. The Democrats will hold its elections on March 23 with BET member Jeffrey Ramer and the DTC Treasurer Howard Richman running against one another.
Both Ramer and Richman will conduct a candidate's forum for DTC members at 6:30 p.m. March 16 at Town Hall.
