Greenwich To Honor Longtime Volunteer With Street Name Change
An upcoming street dedication ceremony will include remarks from local leaders, a commemorative unveiling, and a public reception.

GREENWICH, CT — Greenwich will host a street dedication ceremony on Saturday, Sept. 6, to honor longtime resident Sam Romeo for his decades of public service and advocacy for affordable housing.
The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Armstrong Court.
"Sam Romeo’s leadership and heart have left an indelible mark on our community," said Anthony Johnson, CEO and executive director of Greenwich Communities, in a news release. "Armstrong Court stands as a testament to his vision for accessible and dignified housing for Greenwich residents. Armstrong Court now anchors and contributes to the beauty of this historic neighborhood. It’s fitting that we gather here to honor him."
