Greenwich Lions Club to Hold Annual Grapefruit Sale

Starting this weekend, the club is raising money for its community programs including the low vision project.

If you live in Greenwich, you know that Thanksgiving isn’t too far away when the Greenwich Lions Club starts its annual grapefruit sale.

Starting Saturday, Nov. 14, the Lions will be selling cases of the Texas ruby reds at several locations in town. On Saturday and Sunday, and again on Nov. 20 and 21, Lions will be at the Cos Cob fire house from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

They’ll also be at the Perrot Memorial Library on Sound Beach Avenue in Old Greenwich and at Tod’s Point (Greenwich Point Park), both weekends from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The cost is $20 per case.

All proceeds benefit local Lions projects, low vision services, and other local health and human service programs.
