Greenwich Police Charge Driver with DWI
Police say the driver passed a patrol car "unusually close" early Sunday morning.
GREENWICH, CT - After passing a Greenwich patrol car "unusually close" at 1:45 a.m. Sunday, a driver is facing a driving while intoxicated charge.
The driver also is accused of having to take "corrective action" to avoid hitting cars parked on Delavan Avenue, according to a police report.
When stopped by police, officers found that the driver did not have a license. They also noticed the driver had "glassy and bloodshot" eyes and when they had him perform field sobriety tests, the man had the odor of alcoholic beverages on his breath.
